Flash Firmware Instructions

Note: Ensure your device is charged and back up any important data before flashing.

Follow these steps to flash the firmware on your Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (SM-T585):

Method 1 (Using Odin):

• Step 1: Download and extract Odin Tool 3.14.4.
• Step 2: Download and extract the firmware files.
• Step 3: Turn off your device. Enter Download Mode by holding Home + Power + Volume Down buttons together.
• Step 4: When the warning screen appears, press Volume Up to continue.
• Step 5: Open Odin and connect your device via USB. It should show as 'Added!'
• Step 6: Add the firmware files (AP, BL, CP, CSC) to their respective slots in Odin. Use CSC (not HOME_CSC) if you want a clean flash.
• Step 7: Ensure 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time' are checked in Odin's options. Do NOT check 'Re-Partition'.
• Step 8: Click Start to begin flashing.
• Step 9: Wait for the process to complete. A green 'PASS!' message will appear in Odin.
• Step 10: Your device will reboot automatically. The first boot might take 5-10 minutes.

Method 2 (Using Eros Tool - No PC):

This method requires another Android phone and an OTG adapter.

• Step 1: Install the Eros Tool application on the second phone.
• Step 2: Download and extract the firmware files (AP, BL, CP, CSC) onto the second phone.
• Step 3: Put your Galaxy Tab A 10.1 into Download Mode (as described in Method 1, Step 3 & 4).
• Step 4: Open the Eros Tool app on the second phone.
• Step 5: Connect the Galaxy Tab A (in Download Mode) to the second phone using the OTG adapter and USB cable.
• Step 6: The Eros Tool should recognize the connected device.
• Step 7: In the Eros Tool, navigate and select the extracted firmware files (AP, BL, CP, CSC) for their corresponding slots.
• Step 8: Click Start within the Eros Tool.
• Step 9: Wait for the flashing process to finish.
• Step 10: Once completed, your Galaxy Tab A 10.1 will reboot.
