Flash Firmware Instructions
Note: Ensure your device is charged and back up any important data before flashing.
Follow these steps to flash the firmware on your Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (SM-T585):
Method 1:
- Step 1: Extract Odin Tool 3.14.4.
- Step 2: Extract the firmware files you downloaded.
- Step 3: Turn off your device and enter Download Mode.
- Step 4: Hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons.
- Step 5: When the warning appears, press Volume Up.
- Step 6: Your device should be recognized by Odin.
- Step 7: Add the firmware file to the AP/PDA slot or the four Samsung firmware files (AP, BL, CP, CSC) to their respective slots.
- Step 8: Click Start to begin the flashing process.
- Step 9: A green box saying PASS! will appear when done.
- Step 10: Your device will reboot; the first boot may take 5-10 minutes.
Method 2:
- If you don't have a PC, use the Eros tool.
- Check the Eros guide for instructions.
- You'll need another phone and an OTG cable.
Using Eros Tool:
Follow these steps:
- Step 1: Enter Download Mode on your device.
- Step 2: Open the Eros application on your phone.
- Step 3: Connect your tablet to the phone using an OTG cable.
- Your device should be recognized in the Eros app.
- Step 4: Download and extract the firmware files on your phone.
- You will need files: AP, BL, CP, and CSC.
- Step 5: In the Eros tool, click "Add File" and select the files in the correct order.
- Step 6: Click "Start" and wait for the flashing process to complete.
- Once finished, your device will reboot normally.
